Oh, Disaster! Oh, Calamity!

From the darkest recess of my mind,
do flowers grow and bloom.
In the wake of your endless wave,
what sanity is left to seed in fields so impure?

And do strings sing me songs of endless terror and fear?
For their ode is but simple music on airwaves to this ear.
I hear them chanting rhyme of sadness and despair,
of woman caught in apartment fire and loss of child to boot.
Oh, Disaster!
Oh, Calamity!
What do you bring to this meal of gods?

And from these memories do flowers bloom,
in glorious display,
their petals and suits of finest silk,
shining in moonlight and in sun.
From this place of evil do come the beautiful and bold,
and I am so entranced by their walk down Suffolk Street,
born of hatred and of sin.

In this, your darkest hour,
see me dancing in the neon light!
Let laser and neon fill your soul!
So atleast you feel at home amongst the damned.
Oh, darkness!
Please fill the heart of she who I hold dear!
Fill her with lust and envy and trance,
let her dance be of Aphrodite's unwritten sin.
In crescendo and in low!
Oh, disaster and despair!
You have taken me to this place of utter absolutes.
Let me walk free amongst man one final time.

Let me tell him of horror and of tears,
of broken nightmare and of angel of east!
Let me sing to my chestnut princess from a balcony of vine,
oh, Calamity, speaking soft words of wisdom and of truce.
Let it be written in stars and in sand,
of trade for my moments of indecision so I may feel a new man!
Of my choices to throw caution to wind!
Feel my broken heart in the deepest of oceans,
nothing more than a celestial pulse amongst Heaven's tide.

Where you are gone,
I cannot be!
