Dreams

(wasn't sure of the category best suited for this)

The time for the subconscious to dominate
For our waking world is their subconscious
At least this makes sense
After the latest dream to keep me wondering.

The latest dream is a dream that makes no sense
The main character is someone I've never met
Yet, I have seen their pictures and know of them
Is this good taste? Or my mind playing tricks on me?

What is my subconscious trying to tell me?
I know following this path would be the wrong one
All the paths laid out for me are the wrong ones
But why show me this path of all paths?

This girl is just sitting in the car with me
No idea how she got there, I think nothing of it
She looks familiar, I know her, I know where from too
The only answer that remains... Is why?

Dreams, what are they really trying to tell us?
Are they there to guide us? To mislead us?
What is the true purpose of a dream?
Would we be better off knowing? Or not knowing?
