THATS LIFE

Some people are rich, some are poor
not everyone has got a front door
some sleep rough in shop doorways
or on the footpath, same place always
they don't have to do that
there are places they can go
we can all choose
that is life.
Some are drug addicts
others may be alcoholics
some well educated,
others not be
most will have seen life
and life is an education
some will seek help not all
we all make mistakes
some more than others
even on d.u. poetry
we make mistakes
that is life
we have to get on with it
if you want a friend
you have got to be a friend
that is life
