Opinions of the World
“When it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, then I'm already better than them.”
― Marilyn Monroe
It started with an innocent mind
With wandering inquiries of fleeting subjects
For a time nothing ever meant much
I was only living by what others told me
But my random musings began to grow roots
Anchoring themselves deep
My own opinions forming and taking hold
Opening my eyes to the world
I saw the useless drama
Burning uncontrollably like a wild fire
I am disgusted by much of the world
And the feelings seem mutual
People can shower my head with judgements
And condemn me for sinning the way I do
But all I care about is the ones I love
They're the ones that matter
