Happily Ever After Part 1

I am a young girl of only thirteen
locked in a tower going unseen.
I've been here quite some time,
a glimpse of the world always denied.
I have few things
other than what is brought to me.
I make things sometimes
though none is realized
by those who placed me here
and leave me stranded throughout the year.
They come one time
to see how big am I
in order to keep me clothed
because they're the only ones who know
how long it's been
since I've seen my kin.
I was taken as a child
and haven't been searched for in a while.
I imagine they think me dead
though I'm not, at least not yet.
I am told my only hope
is for someone who on a horse will lope
over to this tower
hidden behind the waterfall shower.
They must rescue me
in order for me to be free
though none I've seen
could do it successfully.
I hope someone does come soon
before I meet an uncertain doom...
