Better than Content

I wake up every morning
Excited for the day ahead
For once, there is not
A depressing thought in my head

Finally I have found
That little spot in life
Where once I believe
Things will be fine

Sure I have my moments
When darkness returns
But like short candles
It quickly burns

Life helps out
With how my time is spent
I may not be happy
But I am better than content
