the sertainty of gravity

on the edge
sour notes are creaping deep inside your head
from here it's like theres no noise at all
it's the simple things in life that always hurt the most
and today you finally noticed...
all the little things in life that never quite worked out
you see the bad in everything
no perfect colors...
there faded and completely worn
the embers of emotion softly burn out
it's all you can do to try and block it out
looking out across an open skyline
the world is just as cruel as you can remember
not sure how to approach it ...
can only see the worst in people
sometimes you think you drag it out
on the outside looking in
with shattered arms i'll hold you here
away from the demons and treachery
untill the sun hides away the horizon
we'll sit alone and watch the lights go out
let the darkness pry open our eyes
i wish i could remember when you said ....
it will all be better in the end ....
it's in the distance and it's closing in
we'll make it if it takes all we have
defeat this nothingness
we'll make it further then they ever have
