Two Counts.
You told me you would stay
That I would be okay
With your arms around my neck
You asked me not to cry
As I breathed your air for the very last time.
The world grew dark
The seas became unsteady
No more beats in my heart
We were both young and not ready.
My temperature left my body a blue hue
The bruises on my body
They knew it was you.
Two counts of murder the papers read
A boy kills his lover with his bare hands
The funeral made the front page
No one ever forgot the tragedy of innocent rage.
That I would be okay
With your arms around my neck
You asked me not to cry
As I breathed your air for the very last time.
The world grew dark
The seas became unsteady
No more beats in my heart
We were both young and not ready.
My temperature left my body a blue hue
The bruises on my body
They knew it was you.
Two counts of murder the papers read
A boy kills his lover with his bare hands
The funeral made the front page
No one ever forgot the tragedy of innocent rage.
