Bare The Scars
These scars are a homage
A reminder of tragic mistakes
Simply look in the mirror
Every morning when I awake
Down the face
And across the wrist
I heal too fast for it to last
Guilt grows inside like a cist
Why am I cursed
To see it through the end?
This mortal shell will not die
Some think I’m a god among men
Even with my blades
I see myself as a fool
Unkillable and even so
With my power, I could not save you
A reminder of tragic mistakes
Simply look in the mirror
Every morning when I awake
Down the face
And across the wrist
I heal too fast for it to last
Guilt grows inside like a cist
Why am I cursed
To see it through the end?
This mortal shell will not die
Some think I’m a god among men
Even with my blades
I see myself as a fool
Unkillable and even so
With my power, I could not save you
