Come April

Our play will be showing
In April for sure.
It is titled ‘Mago mago’
Starring in our April play are :
 
The lucky Dr Gebele
(no pun or apropos intended)
Having incumbency
And southern sentiment
On his side;
 
The wealthy Alhaji Utaki
(who claims to have earned
every kobo of his monies)
Hanging on party policy
And northern consensus;
 
There is that retired General
Warming up at one corner.
All he has is good name.
 
And other minor characters
As well as the laughing god.
 
My people,
Sore battered by bad leadership
Would have voted right.
But it is going to be
Just another
Niger Area drama.
 
So get prepared to be enchanted!
