For a Little Greenery
For a little greenery
I waited the evening by
My bed, waiting for the morning,
And when the morning came,
I took the greens and roasted.
I took the greens and roasted,
When the morning swayed by,
And it was interesting enough,
I came by the keys awaiting me,
I laid bare my verse and prose.
I laid bare my verse and prose,
On these keys, giving notice
Of the chances, endless chances
To get noticed or get lost,
Versing, writing, I don't feel any remorse.
Versing, writing, I don't feel any remorse
Whatsoever, if the day moves
And I am still still,
For a little greenery,
While creating, goes a long way.
A few green goes a long way,
Dare I say, dare I request:
Come forth and laid bare your verse,
Lay bare also your prose,
Heat the greens, friend, come on.
Come on, come on:
There's a day to be spent,
There's a life to be wasting.
