As I look out the window
I wonder
How did I end up here
What happened to my dreams
Did they truly turned into ash
Did my heart
Turn into stone
Did my smile
Truly become stale
When did my hopes
Dissolve into pained susurration

Tears start to stain my clothes
When did my knees
Go weak with submission
When did life become
Such a abundant burden to bare
