Performing is easy when the audience is ignorant.

Performing is easy, I do it daily.
Put my mask firmly in place
Ready to step out onto the stage,
Where you would never suspect a thing.  

It has been so simple - my one-man show
Enough to trick you, you and everybody else,
You who is never any different, not unique, and not individual,
My audience is planned you see, I picked you all.

However, you still foolishly think
That you are cast as the single main lead,
When the whole entire time I have had you seated
Front row no least…

I do not like what I do or how I act
But believe me I do it to protect you,
If I am honest… myself too -
So I continue, the show must go on

Because let me tell you, performing is easy

And cannot see the seam between skin and mask.
