Hourglass

  


I know you sit watching
many long hours
catching a glimpse
of life within an hourglass
with some of this missing
and no part of that
as tomorrow clings
to a tower block .

I think about you
all the time
I worry as you view
all , through bottled wine
ready to fall
then take flight
it hurts to crawl
through your mind .

You have purpose
or , you wouldn't be
don't pull the curtain
prematurely .
