A Shadow
Time falls through my fingers,
sands in a hour glass.
I live my life
without looking back.
Forward just keep moving
like a coursing river.
I walk through my life
seeing no one, feeling nothing.
I float through life
trying to stay alone;
it's better that way,
there is less pain
but it never lasts.
They notice me.
They become my friends,
then I have to leave,
to become a shadow again.
sands in a hour glass.
I live my life
without looking back.
Forward just keep moving
like a coursing river.
I walk through my life
seeing no one, feeling nothing.
I float through life
trying to stay alone;
it's better that way,
there is less pain
but it never lasts.
They notice me.
They become my friends,
then I have to leave,
to become a shadow again.
