God
I am a God.
Watch me crush cities
and
send forests up in flames;
I hope you see the smoke from where you are.
Watch me move mountains
and
shift the sun
and
pluck down every star;
I wish only for light to warm you
with no obstacle blocking its path.
Listen to my thunderous roar
as I sing a storm over the ocean
and
feel the rise of the waves
made with my fists and my stamping feet;
you always loved music.
And
maybe you are deaf
and
maybe you are blind
or
maybe you choose not to look my way
or
speak my name;
it’ll always all be for you.
Watch me crush cities
and
send forests up in flames;
I hope you see the smoke from where you are.
Watch me move mountains
and
shift the sun
and
pluck down every star;
I wish only for light to warm you
with no obstacle blocking its path.
Listen to my thunderous roar
as I sing a storm over the ocean
and
feel the rise of the waves
made with my fists and my stamping feet;
you always loved music.
And
maybe you are deaf
and
maybe you are blind
or
maybe you choose not to look my way
or
speak my name;
it’ll always all be for you.
