Creature Inside
Though you cannot see him, he is there, hiding amongst us, inside our fears. The worst is yet to come, and we remain still, waiting for the sun. Night is upon us, and we tremble in the eyes of a creature far too precarious. Dawn draws near as we struggle to keep our conscience clear. But this creature is like no other. It can always find us, even though we cling to our sister and hide behind our brother. It's there, watching, making us go insane, letting us endure excesive amounts of pain. This creature is a monster, and it is us that it will conquer. It's heart beats in our ears like nails in our souls. Each breath exhaled, creates more empty holes. When this creature finally finds us, it will devour our hearts, and once we're made of stone, we'll be driven apart. It crawls through the night, and once it's morning, it will be out of our sight. We rumage through the wreckage that this creatures hands have wrought.
Worse danger is upon us, something the creature alone has brought.
We have come to believe it's gone, that the monster has left, and it's all over. But the terror has just begun. It's getting much closer. We fail to realize the creature's still there, and we start to feel we don't belong. and it's all because this monster of our dreams has been living inside us all along.
