Playing in Mud

Crawling in the dirt
Waiting for the rain
to wash off the stain of wonder.
Looking down on his people
the all mighty Wizard
calls for dark clouds
and blackens the sky.

Falling from whats left of the sun
the dove scurries for cover
sensing the hypocrisy.

Wandering
in the open,
knowing every step
cannot be taken back,
the Wizard calls for rain
to trickle
down

Looking threw infant eyes
I'm frozen in motion
like a fish freshly caught
and stored in the freezer.
Waiting to be digested
and placed into
the chess game
of life.

Raindropes
as clear and sharp as diamonds
start to fall from the sky.
Like a nuclear bomb
they scrape everything to nothing.

Scared, but with no panic.
Comforted by the false sense
of understanding.

A thirsty mouth will always drink from the glass that is handed to them.
