Invisible
She goes unnoticed,
A shadow wallowing across silent streets.
She wades along the empty path,
Cobblestone crumbling beneath her feet.
She seeks out the stars for comfort,
Whose kisses illuminate her pallid eyes.
But they do no more than accentuate her mystery,
And make way for her diaphanous disguise.
Invisibility is both blessed and blighted,
For although she may roam without particular regard,
All sense of worth has been cast away,
Her caliber shattered to shard.
