Armageddon

I dreamed of Armageddon
And sights no longer seen
And faces flashed like sirens
In my lonely lake of dreams 

All was dark and silent
With no one left to hear
My mutterings of chaos
Nor my questions borne in fear 
 
I gazed across the skyline
As the sun began to fall
To leave me in the dark
Amidst the ruins of it all 

When blackness cloaked my dreamscape
I was there to find
Scattered on the wasteland
The pyres of all mankind
