Dreamt (Dads dream)
I seen you last night in a dream.
I studied my surrounds and saw that everyone was smiling around you.
I held my hands to the sky with confusion, yet I was relieved to see you're face.
It brought more comfort to my heart than any four letter word uttered underneath the heaviness of ones breath.
I was staring deeply in your eyes. Told you had never actually died, we had all lived a lie that seemed to unfold like a napkin in the wind that you had wiped your tears with.
I felt the sun rise.
I felt the moon hang over our heads.
You stood there bald, smiling with your C Lo Green like body, tube socks to your knees.
You were silent. You were still
Like a star that had not yet fallen.
I stood there watching and waiting to hear your voice, to hear your laugh, to feel your touch.
But it never came.
I awoke.
