Hate Me Out Loud

Every time I turn around
I see you trying again,
Every time I fall back down,
I see you let out a little grin.

If you're gonna hate me then hate me out loud!
I can deal with the hatred but I'm so sick of you calling me a friend.
If you're gonna hate me then let me fall down!
I can deal with the fall but I don't want your help to get up again.

Are you really that afraid to let me hear you laugh?
You inconsiderate, hypocritical traitor.
Are you really that gullible, that you still think I've got your back?
You naive, heartless soul--it's time you meet your maker.

If you're gonna hate me then hate me out loud!
I don't mind the noise but don't think I'll laugh with you.
If you truly hate me then dare to let me down!
I don't care that you lied, it's the fact that you can't tell the truth!

I'll likely add to this at a later time, but I think it's good for now. For any who are wondering, I was NOT listening to Rascal Flatt's song "Love You Out Loud" while writing this. In fact, I was listening to Five Finger Death Punch... which might explain some of the angst.
