If I take This Step
On the way to blank,
Or maybe a pasture green.
All the same,
I'll miss your face
Even though I go so peacefully.
Have I told you I love you?
The moment before this wreck.
Have I amended all the wrong?
Time won't give me the chance,
My clock a pair of lights.
Why is it that I can't breath?
My hands a tingle of red,
The world is dark.
So I fight, all the more,
To see you, my light.
A single step,
A single pass,
A second chance,
A moment at last.
To only share my love,
To only share my time,
Nor regret
With my passing breath,
All we have done.
In death I shall live!
The time to grab his hands
Shall not frighten me a bit.
Or maybe a pasture green.
All the same,
I'll miss your face
Even though I go so peacefully.
Have I told you I love you?
The moment before this wreck.
Have I amended all the wrong?
Time won't give me the chance,
My clock a pair of lights.
Why is it that I can't breath?
My hands a tingle of red,
The world is dark.
So I fight, all the more,
To see you, my light.
A single step,
A single pass,
A second chance,
A moment at last.
To only share my love,
To only share my time,
Nor regret
With my passing breath,
All we have done.
In death I shall live!
The time to grab his hands
Shall not frighten me a bit.
