but I don't buy it(beyond thee i'rony that i'm sure ye in'tended.......for thee I of Me, being
       a musician is a great gift,
yet as
frought wit painful ego-traps as everything else wee think wee Are....since most musicians need or want 'collaborators' more than many other 'art' sub'cultures, the all Too human bent toavoid/deny any self-awareness that isn't created & colored by ego itself, makes for compoundment of the pains & envulnerations of emotional eX'pose'ure.......
BUT
You Could Be A Musician......I didn't 'start' my musical Soul Quest til I was 23, having spent a previous decade being an obcessive record collector wit musician-friends, who, via lame attempts at 'picking up' on string, keyboard, &percussion instruments, had convinced myself that the record player was all i'd ever 'play', had a saxotique epiphany...

there are 'avenues' for any of us knuckleheads to eXpand our means of 'infliction" wit new afflictions

I totally agree, Lace. I'm a huge music buff but I don't have a musically talented bone in my body. When I write, I am torn apart by my desire to add a musical quality to it and my inability to do so... meanwhile, mrsuperdudly1 as he's called on here is trying to teach me bass guitar. I suck but I'm not giving up.
