The Twist

Ok so imagine the cycle, Pretend you see the twist, Blink twice and blow me a kiss, But only if you understand this, Linked at the wrist, Where I go you go, Follow me close, Watch the back door, Snakes might creep, I got the front covered, Quiet the cops are asleep, We are always getting into trouble, Love is difficult I know, You are always bursting my bubble, You were never afraid to let your feelings show, Keep it down and find the key, The lock can't be that hard to pick, here... Let me see, Operating under extreme pressure, My very desire to release us, Was pure... But I didn't want to lose you, Even in prison, Well this emotional entrapment, I never would have gotten involved, But you sold me well, We leaped together... And it was great, We hit the climax, And got busted... Now we must suffer this twisted fate, I could hear church bells ringing, Or maybe it was the opposite...Because A curse emerged, And together we were cuffed and my heart was stinging, sentenced together in this time of grief, My only relief was hope the judge see my plead and release me from this sea of misery, Listening to the closing arguments and the defence, I couldn't believe my ears, I had to show no fear, A strong will and no time for tears, When the gavel dropped my world was rocked and the earthquake didn't stop, I was denied of my escape, And brought in deeper than before... I was held in contempt for complaints and arrested for my restraints, Who can we blame? And how can we solve this? Can we possibly agree on something, Or do you like watching us compete just to fall... For each other again, and again, This is getting no where at all, Will I complete my mission and rid myself of you, The very memory which is beautiful but untrue, Round and round the merry go our feelings again start to show, The sparkle in your eyes got me again and your disguise is great, But I see you, lets take this slow, Few men during their lifetime come nowhere near exhausting the resources dwelling within them, there are deep wells of strength never used, And baby I'm using everything I got on you, Don't twist my words to make me sound cruel, You make me stronger, You make my heart ache, You make me crazy... But you're my lady ok, So imagine the cycle, Tell me you saw the twist, Does love really exist? Blink twice and blow me a kiss, But only if you understood this, Linked forever if only I had one wish, Where you go, My heart follows, Watch the back door, Snakes will be there for sure, Shake off all the doubts, And kick everything else to the side, We have been sentenced to life as one, We made it, No longer on the run, Did you feel the twist, Could you hear me, Does love really exist? The answer lies in the twist.
