Innocence Lost
The breeze drifts and bees buzz
The sun shining from above
Grass is green and waves lap
Summer, the time of love
The first love is so true
Gentle touches by the lake
Whisper sweet nothings to you
My heart begins to ache
We’re kissing and holding
As the clouds form over us
You lay down on the peer
You moan, the coming of dusk
Your eyes, they so hunger
In the day’s dying light
Your need, it is burning
You never see the knife
Innocence lost in summer
You must fear where you tread
You’ll never know who I am
I’ll make the water run red
The sun shining from above
Grass is green and waves lap
Summer, the time of love
The first love is so true
Gentle touches by the lake
Whisper sweet nothings to you
My heart begins to ache
We’re kissing and holding
As the clouds form over us
You lay down on the peer
You moan, the coming of dusk
Your eyes, they so hunger
In the day’s dying light
Your need, it is burning
You never see the knife
Innocence lost in summer
You must fear where you tread
You’ll never know who I am
I’ll make the water run red
