A Premonition Condition
To my future heart:
I know that
I can sometimes be
just like a hurricane
when the gusts of words
lay scattered like debris
upon a coastal plain
you can rest assured,
I meant no harm
my heart is always true
even when my voice lacks charm
my life was truly blessed by you.
Still, I would give
the moon, and stars
for one chance to atone
woeful those hurtful words,
now seen in a myriad of scars
As I now live, alone on my own
I know that I was in the wrong
pray, and hope you'll hear my plea
yet though I am wholly weak,
I know that you are strong
and I pray that you'll still forgive me...
I know that
I can sometimes be
just like a hurricane
when the gusts of words
lay scattered like debris
upon a coastal plain
you can rest assured,
I meant no harm
my heart is always true
even when my voice lacks charm
my life was truly blessed by you.
Still, I would give
the moon, and stars
for one chance to atone
woeful those hurtful words,
now seen in a myriad of scars
As I now live, alone on my own
I know that I was in the wrong
pray, and hope you'll hear my plea
yet though I am wholly weak,
I know that you are strong
and I pray that you'll still forgive me...
