Leap of Faith
She couldn't wait
any longer
the universe was calling to her
She needed the fresh air,
the wind,
even the rain
if it would cleanse her soul
She needed to feel
the wind rushing around
her
encircling her
whipping her clothing
about her with so much
vigor and grace
To feel the the wind
kiss her face
however sharply
She so desperately
needed
to feel part of something
much larger than her life
Digging her bare feet into
the earth,
raising her arms
to the skies above
closing her eyes
so she can see
She leapt
Slowly the winds
captured her
raised her higher
than she had ever been before
and she danced
against the heavens
and soared
any longer
the universe was calling to her
She needed the fresh air,
the wind,
even the rain
if it would cleanse her soul
She needed to feel
the wind rushing around
her
encircling her
whipping her clothing
about her with so much
vigor and grace
To feel the the wind
kiss her face
however sharply
She so desperately
needed
to feel part of something
much larger than her life
Digging her bare feet into
the earth,
raising her arms
to the skies above
closing her eyes
so she can see
She leapt
Slowly the winds
captured her
raised her higher
than she had ever been before
and she danced
against the heavens
and soared
