Last Chance For a Revolution

So anxious to get away from it all
Yet when alone
You crumble
You fall

Dying for attention
Starving for affection
All the words you combine
All those emotions you mention

Making statements
For meaningless acknowledgements
Never truly knowing
What they meant

Pitiful that this is your best
Praying in lonesomeness
For a message
Comment
Like
Or request

Quit wasting your time
Looking for people online

Neighbors and strangers
Customers and cashiers
Lend these people
Your hands and ears

You are not
The only limping soul
Help this world
Place warmth
Where once stood cold

Donate to charity
Protest those above
In this world of cheapskates
We can't survive without love

I hope this message reaches you
And finds its way to your heart
And when you let it in
I pray it rips you apart

So you may allow strangers
Of all gender and color
To help you mend
As you selflessly restart

Life is too short
To live quiet and shameful

Be loving
Be caring
Be giving
Be faithful
