I look in the sky

and see the stars we called you and I

and remember the time

when we were happy


I stare at the sky

With no clouds in sight

I see what we once had

But all in fright


As the rain pours down

I remember those words

I thought were so grand

But now nothing but sand

Do I dare say goodbye?

What we once had was strong

But now I question

What we did wrong


Once one says goodbye

Does love ever reunite?

I cannot guess what happens next

For my instincts tell me otherwise


But if the love is so fine

We will find each other
