But syllables of fake identity,
Mirrored images of what we were made to be,
Painted stain glass windows of tainted high expectations,
Traces of our ancestor's hopes and dreams turned into ash,

I like this poem for its simplicity and its ability to make you think. Maybe like many children, when I was a child I wanted to change my name as did my sister....Why? Great Work!
