Don't Let Me Fall Asleep

I fear my own dreams, Don’t let me fall asleep
They tear me apart at the seams and not all is as it seems
The demons have followed me in and they’ve come to collect my debt
They know every sin committed and every lie I’ve ever said
Keep me company tonight baby, Don’t let me fall asleep

I wake up in sweat, Eyes wide with fright and despair
My destiny is set, I’ve seen my demise and was made to stare into the mouth of hell
It was a bottomless pit but the walls caught my attention
The faces of my heroes and idols swayed inside like the ocean
If they’ve fallen inside, Am I doomed to follow alone

Lay with me this night, I fear the shadows and need your light
Hold me close till dawn, Hold me like I belong
I lean in to kiss my fears away, But when I close my eyes I suddenly realize
They’ve followed me out, They’re in my eyes and inside my mind
Insane without a respite, I know now I can’t run from that which is my own
