It's Alright
A man touches a girl
Says it’s alright
Forces the girl to stay by his side
He holds her
His grip tight
He’s choking her
Making her lose all hope
As she scrambles to get free
She pleads
And pleads
Wanting to be free
But he doesn’t let go
He ties her up
Tortures her
Uses her for what he wishes
Then sets her free
Days later
She’s dead
Her spirit broken so much
That only a shell remains
Says it’s alright

This is a tough subject not only to read about but to write about. The poem moves quickly where life would seem to drag on and on. Well done.
