Thank You Mother
Now i'm not saying you're perfect
Because you're not
You drink
You shout
You cry
In front of me
But then agian
I'm not perfect
I scream
I hurt
I lie
To you
But you pick me up
In the dark
When you'd rather be asleep
You do your best on my birthdays
Although we really can't afford it
You tell me what i want to hear
Even if you're set in your ways
Yes
You slight me
You remind me
Of my flaws
But you also
Picked me up
Shook me down
And made me the person i am
So when
My angry words
Expose your failings
Please, i beg you
Remember this thank you
Because you're not
You drink
You shout
You cry
In front of me
But then agian
I'm not perfect
I scream
I hurt
I lie
To you
But you pick me up
In the dark
When you'd rather be asleep
You do your best on my birthdays
Although we really can't afford it
You tell me what i want to hear
Even if you're set in your ways
Yes
You slight me
You remind me
Of my flaws
But you also
Picked me up
Shook me down
And made me the person i am
So when
My angry words
Expose your failings
Please, i beg you
Remember this thank you
