JAH I PRAY

 


Jah I pray keep my child safe
As they go about their day
Bring them home safe and well
Protect them from the madness
That has poisoned our streets
Life no longer valued
No longer grateful for the blessing
That JAH has given
Devalued, true mean has
Been taken
For no justified reason
Mindless actions
By our young that now
Worship the gun
Jail and the grave
Getting occupied by the day
JAH I pray you show us a way
To lead our young
From their reckless ways
Change the path of
Our future
By educating our young
Not to end their life
Before its even begun
