Grandmother Earth
Two glowing stones,
Recessed into their craters with time,
They have seen much.
The silvery leafed forest,
Growing bare as winter comes.
Each tree once bent with the wind's loving touch.
The wide field lies below,
None such greater than this.
It once held such beauty and men had once kissed.
A ways below there,
Rests the ever-song bird.
Speak ye little, much wisdom be heard.
Recessed into their craters with time,
They have seen much.
The silvery leafed forest,
Growing bare as winter comes.
Each tree once bent with the wind's loving touch.
The wide field lies below,
None such greater than this.
It once held such beauty and men had once kissed.
A ways below there,
Rests the ever-song bird.
Speak ye little, much wisdom be heard.
