Ignoring Ignorance

Ignorance is only bliss until you wish you knew the answer,
Anxious questions impatiently resting upon the tip of your tongue,
Lips sealed although it’s eating you up inside,
(It was your silence that said it all.)
So obvious,
But out of habit I open my mouth before you even ask.
I already know how everyone always expect the worst on my part,
But it just kills me that you’re no exception.
A lifetime of accusations,
Conceived in such a common manner,
Innocent enough…
although only half aware,
Knowing I’ve had no reason to lie.
Unable to escape cautious eyes,
Watching over my each and every move…
So afraid of what I’ll do when no ones there to choose.
Don’t blink,
Wont look away,
If I slip up now you’ll think I’m up to something.
Can’t you see I’m already running in circles?
All but out of options now and you’re still not convinced.
So don’t acknowledge right,
Not if you can dwell on my wrongs.
Besides…
It was only a matter of detail,
Or one of denial...
But I don’t think you ever understood.[/font]
