Insomnia Again

I am sleeping with the lights off again.

Door closed tightly, a sliver of light may not come in.

Blankets pulled up to the chin.

Seeking all the warmth within.

But bad cases of insomnia keep me up all night.

I can shut my eyes and try to keep a clear mind but more flood within.

Thoughts that don't really matter and the imagination bursts again.

Sometimes I laugh and talk to people who are really there.

But it doesn't really matter because they aren't the cause.

This insomnia is killing me.

I'm feeling sleep deprived.

I fall asleep when the birds sing and the sun starts to shine outside.

Light showing through my curtain.

My eyes flutter shut.

Two seconds later, it's time to get up.
