What You are No Longer
That's the sound of your soul being denied
The sound of your soul crying
The sound of your soul in a cage confined
That's the sound of your soul dying
You ignore it everyday
Saying, 'oh that's not mine, not mine'
You from death, the black, the white, the grey
You soul, it has yet to shine
Oh, but it can't, can it?
You ignored the helpless screams
You sat there and defiled it
Escaping to reality from dreams
You locked away the still small voice
Trying not to get caught in the rain
Yelling to the overcast, you didn't have a choice
Pitter-patter on your cheeks, echoing the pain
Pain you thought wasn't yours
To caught up in how you had to be
Never letting your soul soar
Now can't you see? You're no longer all you could be
The sound of your soul crying
The sound of your soul in a cage confined
That's the sound of your soul dying
You ignore it everyday
Saying, 'oh that's not mine, not mine'
You from death, the black, the white, the grey
You soul, it has yet to shine
Oh, but it can't, can it?
You ignored the helpless screams
You sat there and defiled it
Escaping to reality from dreams
You locked away the still small voice
Trying not to get caught in the rain
Yelling to the overcast, you didn't have a choice
Pitter-patter on your cheeks, echoing the pain
Pain you thought wasn't yours
To caught up in how you had to be
Never letting your soul soar
Now can't you see? You're no longer all you could be
