Dreams and silhouettes.
These wretched visions inside my head
Portray the sadness of a life mislead.
Melodic lullabies seem to wake the dreams
Of silent nights wrapped in anguished screams.
I swallow the words, however bitter they may be
But hollow tears falling- the world will never see.
My dreams have become my own reality
My sorrow, my misery.
I no longer fear the shadows that surround me
But dread the darkness that lies within my soul
It's sick;
It's a vile thing
But the hatred is what I find comfort in
The endless torture makes me me whole.
Days have passed in motionless colours of black.
Lost between reappearing images-looking back
On the times I looked up at the sky
And wondered to myself...
Why muted angels deserve to die.
Nights have faded to distant twilight
Capturing each shadow in the marbled moonlight.
The silhouette of a smile that has been torn
Only reminds me of the blissful memories that were never born.
She wonders to herself what it would be like to feel
Her heart beating, to know that she's real.
Time has passed and taken her breath away
Leaving her tormented soul to gradually decay
Leaving only the tomb of a body to remain.
The stars above drown in the velvet black sky
Leaving the world in dusk to watch the final rays of hope die.
Yet she no longer fears the shadows that surround her
But dreads the darkness that's in her soul.
How could she be so empty?
When the hatred makes her feel whole...
I've finally found those misplaced stars tonight-
They're in her eyes, they shine so bright.
But as the illusion shatters and the pieces crumble to the floor
She realises she doesn't recognise reality anymore.
So the sun will rise from the ashes once more to embrace
The look of selfish regret upon her pale face.
The cold steel bullet blasts through her head
Her body drops
Her heartbeat stops
A final vision to portray the sadness of a life mislead
