suggestion theory
In theory,
If I made a painting:
Where I asked the first person
I came across, to imagine a 4
by 4 foot canvas, blank. And get
them to suggest how the first mark
should appear. Then make that stroke,
and ask the very next person what they
suggested should be done with that open
ing in order to denote what space it exists
in. After that, find two more folks and ask
them both what to do with that space, and put
in place the suggestion from the second. Next,
inquire from the first three people that pass, as
to how this space feels, and how it should start to
look. Register the third's. Five people would then be
asked to describe the sounds, shapes, and substance of
the feeling. The fifth response would then be rendered,
and right about when the eighth is asked in the next sequence
to draw into being what this painting is,
life would happen.
