void
If I had a heart I could love you
But a void is cold and filled with the loudest silence
Silence of the purest gold
Emptiness caused by the lust of a thousand men
I love you, she said. Yes, the one before you
But I did not love her. because love isn’t true
The lengthy walk on this crooked road
That twists and turns and slithers and worms
We laugh and cry then fight and try
But the road we took is a filthy lie
Beautiful birds sang, the grass was green, the flowers boomed
Now the road has cracks and the birds have died.
I did not love her because I was empty
Emptiness caused by the lust of a thousand men
But a void is cold and filled with the loudest silence
Silence of the purest gold
Emptiness caused by the lust of a thousand men
I love you, she said. Yes, the one before you
But I did not love her. because love isn’t true
The lengthy walk on this crooked road
That twists and turns and slithers and worms
We laugh and cry then fight and try
But the road we took is a filthy lie
Beautiful birds sang, the grass was green, the flowers boomed
Now the road has cracks and the birds have died.
I did not love her because I was empty
Emptiness caused by the lust of a thousand men
