Abominably Stoned Man

Slipped sideways down a slicked path
Rolling, gaining velocity at treacherous levels
Gaining mass with each rotation
As wet, sticky snow
Clings to every inch of my being

Mixed among the smooth descent are;
Rocks, cavities, and trees
Maneuvering amidst such conditions seems futile
So I stay steady, enduring
Allowing the bumps to caress my muscles
The gaps to serve as pitstops
The burgeoning nature to shift my course

Once I reach the end of this mountain
I rise to be the statue for an audience
In awe, all they muster to say;
''The Abominably Stoned Man!''
That I am

Scrutiny can sometimes be converted to pride
But in a larger sense
Stays seated in the interrogation room of critiques
Judgmental, equestrian bigots
And while I would plead ''Not guilty,''
To the same charges
I'm met with the fact
I am much like them
On an opposite end of the spectrum

None the less
I am the Abominably Stoned Man
And at this moment
I just don't give a fuck
Till the snow melts
And I'm left to question my decisions
Till I climb back up that mountain
And do it all over again
