waiting on sunset
Warming colors,
Reds and yellows,
Filling the sky,
Like soft little pillows,
The clouds cover up,
The beautiful sky,
Admitting that,
It is becoming night,
Blue turns to green,
Green turns to yellow,
Yellow turns to red,
Ending up on my pillow,
Stars start to cover,
The midnight sky,
I’m still wondering why,
Why my beautiful sky went away,
Another night is here,
Soon it will go by,
I lay my head to rest,
Ready for another day,
And yet I’m waiting again,
Waiting on the sunset..

Add some enjamblement between lines 16 and 17 to introduce sybolism and dynamic conitations of the passig of time. Nice pleasant read though. Well done.

I like the transformation of the colors. Good visuals. The notion of waiting for something that has already passed you by gets you thinking. Thanks for posting and welcome to the site.
