Love Affair
You need to have seen
Who spent the night with me
She called quite early in the night
And I picked with gleeful delight.
She spoke so softly in a voice
Milder than angel’s kiss
Oh my buxom ivory miss
I trod with her through the void
Of the awfully silent stillness
Refusing to listen to hear
Anything of the many societal illness
Only of the love we can share
We watched the galaxies of stars
Twinkling away in their still movement
We stuck together like birth borne lovers
Such a subtle erotic involvement
You need to see how we played away
The black serenity of the night
Leaving behind the cares of the day
You need to have seen… the moon and I.
Who spent the night with me
She called quite early in the night
And I picked with gleeful delight.
She spoke so softly in a voice
Milder than angel’s kiss
Oh my buxom ivory miss
I trod with her through the void
Of the awfully silent stillness
Refusing to listen to hear
Anything of the many societal illness
Only of the love we can share
We watched the galaxies of stars
Twinkling away in their still movement
We stuck together like birth borne lovers
Such a subtle erotic involvement
You need to see how we played away
The black serenity of the night
Leaving behind the cares of the day
You need to have seen… the moon and I.
