They tell me to let you
Be the man you are
But why does that mean
I have to depend on
You always taking care of me
I am independent
I have made it all these years alone
Why should I change now
When isolation is all I've ever known
I see the love you have
Radiating from your eyes
Baking my skin
Until it is Valentine's Day red
As you try to get me
To stop running away
From anything offering security
Your arms are my safe home
But what happens when I forget
How to be alone?

When you think you forget how to be alone you don't realize once we are alone our minds won't truly forget it. I hope you never have to return to be alone you deserve the world and more.
