The Yellow Brick Road
You've got a perfect body,
I've got a broken soul.
You can have anybody,
I'm gonna die alone.
You've been to the sun and came back glowing,
I stepped outside and it started snowing.
And I'm tired of seeing the world through black-tint shades,
I wanna live a life that's more than silly games.
We wake up together in the same double bed,
both yawn together from the same tired head.
And I look in the mirror and see you there,
I'm reading you loud,
reading you clear.
And the weight of this world is bringing me down,
You're the King of all, I'm just the clown.
And we're tired of fighting over who gets the name,
tired of playing our silly game.
We fall asleep together in the same empty bed,
both pray that the other wakes up dead.
And when I look in to my mirror I see you there,
you're reading me loud,
reading me clear.
You've got a broken body,
I've got a shattered soul.
We're torn between each other,
neither can be whole.
