BLEEDING
the greater the joy
the lesser the pain
the deeper the need
the weaker the brain
the freer the heart
the fainter the stain
given taken
emptied fulfilled
somewhere uncertain
between hurt and healed
but still nonetheless
too often
it seems
i tend
to end up
repeating
my same old mistakes
again and again
more than
i ve
ever succeeded
at alleviating
or healing
their consequential
resultant hurts
subconsciously hidden
potential crippling pain
which inevitably
in the
long run s end
only leaves me
stuck here yet
once more again
for is there
can there
or will there ever
truly be
any true end
at all in sight
to humanity s
historically chronic
insanity s
seemingly never ending
perpetually bleeding trail
what with humanity itself
still being
the self destructive
dysfunctional species
it s always been
and still so overwhelmingly
is
one way or another
consciously subconsciously
individually collectively
somewhere in between
however near
or far beyond
all graspable measures
of prediction
prayers and hopes
we may be
or already are
as an increasingly
metastasizing
historically cancerous species
but at this point
instead thus far
not much
if anything at all
as of yet
has arisen
of significant impact
nor come forth
with sufficient vision
nor applied action enough
to ever save us
from ourselves
nor to turn
our sinking planet s
already near sunken ship of fools
of blood thirsty
power hungry
rich cut throat pirates
and innocent angels around
enough in time
which from the looks
of things today
here in our fallen
rapidly unravelling
unsustainable dying world
we most likely
may have already
completely run out of
our self destructive human specie s
historically undeserved
ongoing allotted
remaining time left here
to live and exist
any further
at all anymore
upon this
our still yet sacred
still oh so
beautiful
wondrous conscious
living world
