what is it to have safety
to be safe through isolation
to be ready to take another over material
to loath your world for the distance it is

what does it matter to be safe from the world
if your not safe from yourself
if your world is broken and sad
if your drowning in your own pain

what does it matter if someone broke me again
since all that i am
is defined by the pain that lies in me
with a deep hate that rots the heart

sadly i am not so ignorant
i'm far to gone to be broken
my world is an elaborate tie of delicate strings
to be broken is to unravel

all the pain would be undone
and i would surely end by my own hand
so un full confidence i lie
that i am safe if i suffer alone
