My Love Trembled.
I felt your trembles in the dark.
So I held you close by the fading moon.
I felt fierce with my knife in my hand.
So I promised to protect you.
We might have been in the dark that night,
But you saw that my love grew bright.
And one cold night,
I held you as your tears became warm.
So warm they dried out.
You looked up at me and knew,
That every breath I took was to secure you.
So I clutched my knife.
And we sat there and waited.
As I fought and killed off your fright,
Slowly you stopped your tremors.
Their bodies lied at your feet.
Your laugh amplified.
You were no longer afraid, but you held me close.
We faded from your last dark night.
The moon appeared again.
A love that will no longer be afraid.
